Interview on Unity FM – August 29 2011 – Live Readings!

Last year I was invited by the excellent Richard Bruce Clay to guest on the poetry and spoken word hour on Birmingham’s Unity FM radio station. I’d got the radio bug that year already with one appearance on Birmingham poet laureate Jan Watts’ show The Crumble, and also on Garreth Akkerman’s Attack of the Killer Saucerman programmes on the sadly now defunct/on hiatus Rhubarb Radio which used to have it’s home at the Custard Factory. I don’t think that recordings of either of those shows exist (a shame) but this one does…in two parts.

This show features readings from ‘Dust Particles’, my collection with Brendan Higgins and Paul Rafferty – ‘The Underground Three: Three Go Mainstream’, a piece from ‘The Wind’ and some unpublished work. By the way – hold fire on the second release of ‘Dust Particles’ – it will be coming around again shortly. You can listen to the show here and here on my all new Soundcloud page. No Wimbledon this afternoon, and I don’t think BBC2 will be playing the Pages From Ceefax, so stock up on tea and have a listen! xx
